- POSITION OBJECTIVE
Part of the management team assisting with the sales performance of the department.
Assist in developing the productivity of the selling staff.
AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Customer Service
Maintain and increase the sales figures of the store/concession.
Ensure that sales budgets/targets are communicated to staff and the progressive result of the store/concession.
Ensure staff acknowledge customers quickly and offer friendly, courteous and efficient service.
Be aware of competitor ranges and price points.
Record and reports any missed opportunities.
Ensure staff use and understand the 'Add on Sale' technique.
Ensure that all staff have a thorough knowledge of all products.
Ensure that all customer follow up is done promptly and efficiently.
Ensure that any phone enquiries/sales are handled efficiently.
Assist in overseeing any large customer transactions, including large customer orders over the phone.
Ensure that all staff has a thorough understanding of the company mystery shop format, and that this is used as a method of training.
Confident in handling customer enquiries and complaints when required
Ensure that the shop floor coverage is maintained.
Store Performance
Assist in completing all weekly/monthly budget/target sheets.
Assist in matching all concession figures.
Assist in setting individual goals for staff based on the monthly budget/target set for the department.
Assist in completing/managing staff productivity on a monthly basis, including communicating this to the head office on a monthly basis.
Maintain a high level of sales ensuring that you always lead by example on the sales floor.
Staff Training & Development
Assist in training staff in company selling techniques using relevant materials.
Ensure that training sessions are organised with suppliers and held on a regular basis.
Communicate any relevant company information to staff.
Recognise any sales training requirements that an individual staff member may need.
Confident to assist a member of staff with a sale when required.
Staff Management
Confident in delegating to staff.
Ensure there is adequate cover on the shop floor at all times.
Assist in maintaining staff discipline and carry out investigations when required.
Ensures all store and company rules and standards are adhered to at all times by staff.
Ensures that the daily brief is organised and communicated to the team.
Assist in carrying out performance appraisals and follow up on targets set.
Ensure all of your team comply to the Harrods dress code.
Visual Merchandising
Manage the overall look of the department on a daily basis.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times.
Ensure all brands/products/styles are represented on the shop floor.
Ensure the store environment has a welcoming and luxurious feel.
Administration
Responsible for the handling of cash, petty cash
Assist in implementing any changes to procedures quickly and efficiently.
Accurately completes any weekly/monthly paperwork as instructed by head office.
Ensures any paperwork completed by staff is done correctly.
Health & Safety
Establish a good understanding of health and safety policies of the store and ensure that staff uphold these policies.
Highlight any potential risk areas to relevant personnel.
General
To maintain good relationships with all management and staff.
Carry out or assist in any other duties as requested by the general manager or head office.
Train staff in security awareness and ensure that any security systems are used efficiently.
Report and document any theft correctly.
