Monday to Friday 08.30am-5.30pm and alternative Saturdays 8.00am -1.00pm
Starting Salary: £18,000-24,000
The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the role of an Internal Sales Specialist to work within a forward thinking Builders Merchant. You will play a vital role in ensuring that the day-to-day sales targets are achieved as well as to be able to push, motivate and bring healthy competition within the sales team. You will be responsible for serving their customers and building strong relationships to generate sales. Whatever their customers need, whenever they need it, you will ensure they can get it straight from them. You should have good rounded knowledge of the type of products sold within the construction industry especially within a builder's merchant setting. The successful candidate will be required to deal extensively with our customers to identify their needs by providing product advice to customers, dealing with quotes and queries, liaising with drivers regarding deliveries and actively seeking sales through customer contacts in order to maximise sales opportunities.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, your responsibility will include:
*Taking and making calls from Businesses throughout the UK and closing the leads that have been generated
*Be able to meet targets and deadlines
*Building strong customer relations with a good telephone manner
*Researching how to generate new business opportunities
*Listening to customer requirements to successfully make a sale
*Maintaining and developing relationships with customers via telephone calls and emails.
*Challenging any objections with a view of getting customers to buy
*Communicating and Adapting to a variety of customers from diverse backgrounds
*Attending weekly sales meetings to inform the team of any progress
*Meetings all KPI's
*Actively dealing with all sales enquiries, converting sales and offering appropriate upsells
*Any other duties required by management.
The Person
Our client are seeking a tenacious salesperson, with at least 2 years' experience within a similar role, has proven sales and a track record of performance, as well as experience working in a professional team environment. You must have the ability to remain professional at all times and be a good at multitasking. You should have previous experience in selling construction products and excellent product knowledge and commercial awareness within this industry.
