- Our client, a Surrey based local authority Parking Department are looking to hire an experienced Parking Administrator to join their team.
Senior Parking Administrator
Duties:
1. To manage the control and tracking of on and off street Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) ensuring consistency and quality of records.
2. To deal with more complex enquiries including informal challenges, closure of carparks and suspension of parking bays in accordance with departmental policies. 3. To assist the Customer Services Manager with the preparation and taking of all appeal work including preparing evidence for the National Adjudication Service PCN appeals
4. To have responsibility for the efficient and effective processing of all debt recovery up to and including debt registration at the Traffic Enfrorcemnet Centre (TEC) Courts Services for obtaining warrants on unpaid PCN's and once obtained pass to the Revenues Team for further action
5. Day to day management, development and training of the Civil Enforcement Officers including staff rotas and work allocation ensuring that all targets and timetables are met where-ever possible maintaining effective coverage and enforcement of on and off street parking.
6. Ensure the Parking Services pages of the Council's website is kept up to date and informative.
7. To respond to Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Requests as directed by Customer Services Manager
8. To liaise with Software Contractors, National Adjudication Service, third party stakeholders, as appropriate to maintain collection rates and ensure corporate policies are adhered to
9. Prepare management information on a monthly basis as directed by the Corporate Head of Customer Digital and Collection Services
10. To be responsible for compiling reports of street care defects, identified by Civil Enforcement Officers, on such issues as litter, fly tipping, graffiti and abandoned vehicles, and liaise with the relevant Council Service or Officer
11. To maintain records of highway traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) in support of PCNs recording any changes or discrepancies and liaise with SCC on this subject
12. Inspection of 'on street' waiting restriction lines and sign defects, identifying errors and discrepancies. Arranging remedial action in conjunction with SCC, and the Commercial Assets Team, to ensure that the signs and lines meet the requirements of legislation.
13. Maintaining statistical information in relation to use of pay and display car parks. Checking audit records of pay and display receipts to ensure nay discrepancies are noted and investigated where necessary.
14. To liaise with Surrey CC regarding DPE Agency Agreement as necessary
15. Allocation of complaints to Civil Enforcement Officers to undertake inspections. Processing of completed report as required.
16. Tracing of absconders and prepare write offs in accordance with corporate policy
17. Any other duties and responsibilities that may be reasonably allocated from time to time.
