The Company
Our client is a leading distributor of drywall and building materials to the construction industry. Their current customer base focuses on primarily contractors and developers. The position of Senior Sales Specialist will have specific responsibility for driving and developing contractor sales in new & existing niche product sectors in London and the South East.
The Person:
You should have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a sales/business development role within the construction sector, and have excellent product knowledge. Knowledge and experience of Dry Lining and Insulation is desirable. You will have a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets. You will have powerful communication and relationship skills, whist being proactive and self-motivated within a team environment.
You will be responsible for delivering sales and margin targets for their developer and contractor customer ledgers. You will support and develop the sales ledgers, focusing on value engineering projects, identifying & developing new product revenue streams, customer opportunities and supporting the sales team.
You will need to be able to build strong relationships with the team and you will share the company's 100% dedication in delivering excellent customer service and going that extra mile at all times.
You should have good analytical and numerical skills and be computer literate.

The Role
The primary purpose of the role will be to increase sales significantly in our newly restructured client, specifically in your customer's ledger targets and to support the wider growth targets of the business whenever possible.
Reporting to the Sales Director, your responsibility will include:
Developing and managing the key customer categories and to effectively develop sales ledgers, sales targets and the wider sales offer.
Identify new contractor & project opportunities, ensuring that you maximise the product offering & margin.
Develop new & existing supplier relationships with a view to introduce new systems & value engineer schemes.
Generate project specific quotations in a timely & effective manner.
