We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team!
Main areas of the Payroll Officer Responsibility:
* Process the payment of our weekly temp payroll including PAYE, CIS and Umbrella pay methods.
* Administer statutory payments according to government legislation, i.e. SSP, SMP, SAP and SPP
* Process joiners, leavers, and all amendments to payroll in a timely manner
* Dealing with payroll deductions such as pensions.
* Gathering data and submission of Intermediary reporting to HMRC.
* Dealing with Auto enrolment pension administration
* Offering a consistently good level of customer service to our candidates and clients as well as other internal/external customers
Skills and Qualities:
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Able to resolve complex problems
* Ability to take ownership of payroll function.
* Solid, flexible team player
* Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation.
Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications (desirable)
* Used Xero payroll or similar
* Advanced Excel
Working hours:9am-5pm (1 hour lunch) - Monday to Thursday, but can be flexible depending on experience.
Salary £22k-£25k pro rata depending on experience.
Fixed term maternity cover until May 2022
