- Based at Watford Junction above the station, Unity Recruitment has been established for over 15 years. Our growing market presence is due to the commitment and dedication of our staff, focused on building strong client relationships in order to understand their business and staffing needs.
We are currently looking for a Trainee Payroll Officer to join our team on a permanent basis.
Main areas of the Payroll Officer Responsibility, training to be provided:
* Process the payment of our weekly temp payroll including PAYE, CIS and Umbrella pay methods.
* Administer statutory payments according to government legislation, i.e. SSP, SMP, SAP and SPP
* Process joiners, leavers, and all amendments to payroll in a timely manner
* Dealing with payroll deductions such as pensions.
* Gathering data and submission of Intermediary reporting to HMRC.
* Dealing with Auto enrolment pension administration
* Offering a consistently good level of customer service to our candidates and clients as well as other internal/external customers
* Opportunity to progress career by learning Accounts duties.
Skills and Qualities required:
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Solid, flexible team player
* Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation.
Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications required:
* A steady previous career or academic background
* Good GCSE results, including a B or equivalent in Maths.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel including V-look up.
Working hours: 9am-5pm (1 hour lunch) - Monday to Friday:
