Responsible for HSE functions, Promoting and executing continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Wellbeing, Environmental and Quality by providing advice and guidance to the business.
Experience - A minimum of 5 years of relevant /post qualification experience within an engineering-based environment.
Responsibilities include:
* Able to represent the company during audits and inspections to a professional standard.
* Able to conduct and lead ISO and RISQS audits.
* Investigate and report accidents.
* Provide guidance to leaders that is compliant to policy, procedure and that of the law.
* Manage the day-to-day operational compliance to ISO standards (i.e., Internal audits, Audit programs, recommend changes to current practices)
* Act as CIRAS point of contact/Advisor (Sentinel Scheme)
* Reviewing maintenance and Contractor RAMS
* Deliver and complete HSE inductions for employees, temps, contractors.
* Supporting the competence management system, carrying out competence assessments and maintaining records
* Deliver and support on HSE training programs and arrangements.
Qualifications and requirements include:
* NEBOSH certification, IEMA or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate or equivalent in Environmental Management.
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
* In depth Knowledge of Environmental and H&S legislation and best practice implementation.
* Experience of creating, implementing and managing management systems that meet the requirements of ISO 9001, 45001 and ISO 14001.
* Understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
* Current knowledge of Environmental and Health and Safety Legislation.
* Prior experience in an Environmental Health & Safety role.
