- Handyman / Maintenance Manager
Unity Recruitment are seeking a property management business predominantly based in Rickmansworth, with a large portfolio in South East, South and South West London. We are looking for full or part time Multi-skilled tradesman/handyman to do jobs for our portfolio.
The Role
You will be undertaking reactive & planned maintenance, moving from job to job throughout the day/week. We require work 1-3 days a week on a day rate. You will be working primarily in residential properties across South London and must be able to carry out the following types of work:
- Preparing / making good of properties as and when they become vacant for re-lets.
- Painting & decorating. Must have a background in painting and decorating.
- Basic plumbing & electrical duties.
- General carpentry.
- Fixing / replacing locks.
- General handyman skills.
The Applicant
The successful applicant must have at least 3-5 years' experience as a Multi-skilled tradesman/handyman. You must also meet the following criteria:
- Be competent and skilled - any qualifications welcome.
- Have good organizational skills.
- Excellent time management.
- Produce work to a high standard and a good eye for detail.
- Be able to think on their feet, problem solve and make decisions.
- Good communication, customer service skills and able to act professionally at all times.
- Flexible on working extended hours as and when required.
- Be prepared to work job to job.
- Provide up-to-date and accurate feedback to the office.
- Own hand tools / power tools.
- Own vehicle and clean driving license.
The role is for an immediate start. Training will be provided with regard to systems and procedures.
Salary: £150-£200 a day (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (overtime when required).
The successful applicant will be on a 3-month probation period on a day rate basis.
