- Unity Recruitment is looking to offer an exciting graduate opportunity to a motivated individual with a strong interest in the Accountancy/Finance sector.
Working within our hard working accounts department, the roles offers training and progression routes as well as a fantastic working environment. The successful graduate will be ambitious and willing to learn, with a great work ethic.
All training will be provided on all databases and systems, although the ideal candidate will have experience in or exposure to standard accounting duties e.g. invoicing or credit control, as well as Excel spreadsheets (V Look-up a bonus).
Predominantly sales ledger based, the role will entail:
- Invoicing
- Credit control
- Cash allocation on Sage
- Liaising with customer accounts contacts
- Liaising with bank re: Invoice Discounting facility
- Liaising with consultants
- Downloading information from VMS (Vendor Management Service) sites
- Month end debtors reconciliation for bank ID facility
Further duties:
- Maintenance of Excel based "Gross Profit" report and identifying movements in margin and keeping Sage cost and charge rates up-to-date (training provided if required)
- Working closely with Payroll Officer and assisting with candidate queries
- Liaising daily with Finance Manager to determine draw down requirement from ID facility
- Able to run payroll process in absence of payroll officer
- Profit and loss analysis
- Monthly accounting journals
- Other accounts and finance tasks as required
- Ability to grow level of responsibilities/tasks (room for progression in both the role and the business including paid for training towards ACCA qualification)
The ideal candidate will be fresh and career driven with a good attitude to work. Standard working hours are 9am-5:30pm and the role is offering between £20-£24K dependent on experience.
