UNITY RECRUITMENT LTD

Cookie Policy

Public website policy  |  Version 1.0   |  Last updated 19 August 2026

Important: This policy must be read together with the live cookie-consent panel, which should show the exact technologies currently active, their providers and their durations.

1. About this policy

This policy explains how Unity Recruitment Ltd uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on www.unity-recruitment.co.uk. It should be read with our Website and External Privacy Notice.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small data files placed on, or read from, a browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, tags, pixels and scripts. They can keep a service working, remember choices, improve appearance, measure use, secure accounts or support third-party content.

3. When we need consent

We do not need consent for technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you request. The law also permits limited exceptions for certain low-risk appearance, statistical or similar purposes where all conditions are met, including clear information and a simple way to object where required.

For other technologies, including Google Analytics where the applicable exception is not fully satisfied, we ask for consent before activation. Rejecting non-essential cookies must be as easy as accepting them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings control.

Google Analytics, including _ga and related identifiers

Google

Measures visits and interactions so Unity can understand and improve website use. Data should be configured to minimise identification.

Analytics - consent unless a valid statistical exception is configured and documented

Typically up to two years; exact duration shown in live panel

Google Analytics configurations can use cookies such as _ga, _ga_<container-id>, _gid or _gat. The exact names present depend on the website configuration and must be confirmed by the live scan and consent panel.

5. Embedded and third-party content

Pages may contain maps, video, social-media feeds, job-board functions or other third-party content. Those providers may wish to set their own cookies or collect device information. Non-essential third-party content should be blocked until the required consent is given. The live consent panel will identify any active provider.

Unity does not currently intend to use targeted-advertising cookies. If advertising or marketing technologies are introduced, the consent panel and this policy must be updated before they are activated.

6. Managing your choices

  1. Use Accept, Reject or the detailed choices in the website banner.
  2. Re-open Cookie Settings to change or withdraw consent.
  3. Use browser controls to delete or block cookies; blocking necessary cookies may stop accounts or forms working correctly.
  4. Where Unity relies on a qualifying exception rather than consent, use the simple objection control provided.

We normally avoid asking again for the same rejected choice for a reasonable period, but may ask again if our purposes or technologies change.

7. Google Analytics

Where enabled, Google Analytics provides aggregated information about website use. Unity should configure available privacy controls, minimise retention, avoid sending information such as names or CV content in URLs or analytics events, and maintain an appropriate contract and international-transfer mechanism with the provider. Google's information is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
