- Visual Merchandising
*Manage the overall look of the department on a daily basis.
*Manage the usage of point of sale and ensure branding is relevant and visible on the shop floor.
*Awareness of product availability and "Out of Stocks".
*Manage the implementation of any planning/organisation for any special events.
*Manage and plan sale set up/set down with use of planograms and brand adjacency awareness.
*Maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times.
*Ensure all brands/products/styles are represented on the shop floor.
*Regular communication with head office regarding new products/colours expected.
*Ensure up to date photos are taken of new displays and communicated to head office.
*Manage the relationship between Case and the instore Visual Merchandising personnel at Harrods.
*Refresh displays to enhance the visual appearance of the department/walkway.
*Identifying and sourcing props for displays.
*Attend monthly walkthrough to discuss performance of brands.
*Execute merchandising and floor moves based on seasonal changes, business needs and trends.
*Create and install special displays to promote specific products or product lines.
*Implement and apply Visual Merchandise guidelines provided by individual brands.
*Ensure the store environment has a welcoming and luxurious feel.
Customer Service and Store Performance
*Maintain and increase the sales figures of the store/concession.
*Ensure that sales budgets/targets are communicated to staff and the progressive result of the store/concession.
*Ensure staff acknowledge customers quickly and offer friendly, courteous and efficient service.
*Accountable for overseeing any large customer transactions, including large customer orders over the phone.
*Be aware of competitor ranges and price points.
*Record and reports any missed opportunities.
*Ensure staff use and understand the 'Add on Sale' technique.
*Ensure that all staff has a thorough knowledge of all products.
*Ensure that all customer follow up is done promptly and efficiently.
*Ensure that any phone enquiries/sales are handled efficiently.
*Ensure that all staff have a thorough understanding of the company guest shop format, and that this is used as a method of training.
*Confident in handling customer enquiries and complaints when required
*Ensure that the shop floor coverage is maintained.
Staff Management
*Maintain staff discipline and carry out investigations as required.
*Ensures all store and company rules and standards are adhered to at all times by staff.
*Confident in delegating staff.
*Ensures that the daily brief is organised and actioned.
*To be able to carry out performance appraisals, and follow up on any target set.
Staff Training & Development
*Communicate any relevant company information to staff.
*Manage training of staff in Visual Merchandising standards and store standards.
*Communicate to the team any updates from suppliers.
Administration
*Responsible for the handling of cash, petty cash.
*Manage the ordering of all signage for the department.
*Competent at printing specific style sale ticketing.
*Regularly obtains updates from suppliers.
*Implements any changes to procedures quickly and efficiently.
*Accurately completes any weekly/monthly paperwork as instructed by head office.
*Ensures any paperwork completed by staff is done correctly.
*Accountable for regular contact with the 'Private Suite', and the 'By Appointment' services, including monitoring what product is taken from the department.
Health & Safety
*Establish a good understanding of health and safety policies of the store and ensure that staff uphold these policies.
*Highlight any potential risk areas to relevant personnel.
General
*To maintain good relationships.
*Carry out or assist in any other duties as requested by the General Manager or head office.
*Train staff in security awareness and ensure that any security systems are used efficiently.
*Report and document any theft correctly.
