- Description
- To provide Finance Support in an accurate and timely fashion to meet month end accounting deadlines, including all ledger postings and payroll support.
Day to Day responsibilities:
Payroll:
* Review, and check wages and convert into format for 3rd party providers with necessary adjustments and to timetable
* Reconcile processed payroll from 3rd party and resolve discrepancies
* Reconcile all 3rd party payments
* Achieve authorisation and post all related journals to accounting systems.
Sales & Purchase ledger:
* For the UK & Canada responsible for raising sales ledger and posting purchase ledger invoices, including payment of purchase ledger
Cash book:
* Post all general ledger & payroll cash in accounting system
* Managing cash levels within the business
* Reconcile all bank balance sheet codes
* Process petty cash requests for FD/ MD approval and related journals
* Reconcile petty cash related balance sheet codes
Month End Duties:
* Payroll reconciliation
* Closing and reconciling both purchase ledger and sales ledger.
* Posting all Accruals and Prepayments
* Stock reconciliation
* Commission calculation
* Other monthly journals
Board Pack:
* Prepare and PDF various document that are included in the Board Pack
* Publish Board Pack
Other Duties:
* Managing of the PO system
* Controlling staff movements
* Long term cash forecasting
* Monthly forecasting
* Budgeting
* Produce annual P11D and PSA returns
* Year End
* Any other ad-hoc duties
Person Specification Core skills:
* Good communication skills essential
* Able to operate on own initiative as well as part of a team
* Strong IT skills, e.g. Excel
* Team player
* Strong time management skills
