- Business Development Manager - Public Sector
This is a public sector focused sales role.
You will:
*Be part of a highly driven sales team, striving to achieve individual and team targets through different channels such as: cold-calling, digital lead generation, and networking at events.
*Have a consultative approach to selling, understanding client requirements, and adapting the solution to meet those needs, with tailored pitches and proposals.
*Understand the wider cloud-service software and technology sales process.
*Develop close working relationships with public sector clients, become a trusted adviser, to provide information needed at the various steps of procurement, to ultimately close sales.
*Be responsible for quote and proposal generation, as well as provide contribution to bid submissions.
*Deliver regular reporting to management on targets, achievements, campaigns, and other KPIs.
*Travel nationally to clients for on-site meetings, demonstrations, and events.
*Keep up-to-date with the changing technology and legislation.
What you would have
*You are highly ambitious, driven, and have built up a network of clients within the public sector (London Boroughs, County Councils, Unitary Authorities, Borough, District and City Authorities).
*You will have at least 3 years of experience delivering technology-related sales.
*You will be highly organised and self-motivated and have a proven track record of relentless pipeline building, switching between sales styles i.e., cold calling, lead generation, business development, and consulting.
*You will have demonstrable experience developing sales toolkits including: pitch decks, case studies, and sales scripts.
*You will have the technical confidence to successfully carry-out demonstrations at meetings and events.
*You will have experience in maintaining a comprehensive pipeline detail in a CRM system, such as Salesforce, and are able to produce reports, with forecasts, to management.
*You will have excellent analytic, problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
*You will have a high degree of integrity, honesty, and humility.
Highly Desirable
*Understanding of Geospatial solutions or cloud-based IT solutions.
*Experience working with the Parking or Transport Sector.
*Understanding of public sector procurement processes.
*A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
*Any second European language(s).
