Role TitleHead of Marketing
DELIVERABLES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
People Leadership*Manage a team to ensure that a high performance culture is created - set clear objectives and Performance Development Plans, including Succession planning, Talent Management and 1-2-1 reviews.
Budget responsibility*Govern marketing expenditure to manage to budget, reporting on and assessing ROI
*Ensure appropriate controls and approval processes are followed.
*Inform business planning and forecasting cycles
Marketing Strategy Development *Create and deliver a clear marketing strategy, executing the plan that aligns to and supports achievement of their overall services
*Ensure this supports the growth of existing clients, wins new clients and increases/improves our client's brand awareness in the market.
*Work with the leadership team to ensure key initiatives are identified and owned are progressed.
Demand Generation Campaigns*Develop demand generation campaigns in line with sales strategy and solutions relevant for existing and prospective clients.
*Campaigns to be delivered in line with GCPR
*Generate inspiring and thought provoking copy to encourage inbound lead generation activities
Client Satisfaction and Growth*Co-ordinate client relationship activity including providing regular market intelligence, coordinating face to face and on-line events
*Support the introduction to innovative solutions and experts and industry bodies both internal and external to our client.
*Create client case studies in conjunction with the business that showcase our service offering and provide references where required.
*Support the external and internal awards programmes with partners
Thought Leadership and Research*Generate in conjunction with the business key insight topics
*Research these insight topics through internal and external sources
*Work with their groups to push relevant content to the market place
*Develop a clear plan, with deliverables generated from multiple stakeholders.
Tender Response production*Ensure that high quality bid responses are produced through thorough reviews, input into content and messages and development of team members
*Ensure that effective bid response processes are in place and adhered to
Manage relevant marketing channels*Oversee the company websites and any updates to content in conjunction with the web agency
*Oversee the social channels - Twitter and LinkedIn. Creating content and driving engagement of followers
*Identify, implement and manage a suitable CRM
Design and production*Oversee the development of multimedia propositions to help our selling effort; including design development, messaging, content creation, communicating and sales consultation.
*Manage brand identities and ensure brand consistency and guidelines are developed and adhered to throughout the business
*Produce a suitable range of sales support collateral
*Produce presentation templates and manage the availability of the key company presentation collateral for the sales team
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS
People *Proven track record in managing and driving a high performing team.
*Work effectively within a team, coach and inspire by example.
Communication/ Influencing*Ability to communicate with, persuade and influence senior managers, wider business stakeholders and clients.
Analysis Skills*Be able to source, analyse and interpret wide-ranging data and insights. Use that insight to tailor insight to help influence the clients to support sales growth.
Business Awareness*Be able to demonstrate in-depth understanding of the market, business drivers and strategic issues, relating to target clients.
*Demonstrate an in-depth understanding and proven track record as a Marketing leader.
Relationship Management*Able to initiate, develop and maintain client and internal relationships and networking.
*Ability to build new networks as well as established industry relationships, being seen as the Marketing go to person.
*Conduct self with professionalism, integrity and energy. .
Technical Skills *Senior manager level facilitation skills
*Advanced presentation skills
*Development and successful execution of (aligned) Marketing plans
Qualifications and Experience
*Minimum 3 years Marketing Leadership experience
*Managing a budget >£100,000
*Graduate 2:1 or above preferably with a relevant marketing qualification
*Proven track record of improving ROI and marketing effectiveness
