Job Title Tipper Driver
Location Finchley
Report To Transport Manager
Salary Min: 19,000 Max: 21,000
Hours Mon to Friday 6.00 am to 4.pm and alternative Saturday's 7.00am to 1.00pm
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
To deliver in around M25 area involving a wide range of duties which will include some heavy lifting. Work with colleagues to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
MAIN DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Driving company vehicles in order to deliver and collect goods within the North London areas.
*Ensure driving, collection and delivery services are administered effectively and comply with the law at all times.
*Transporting goods to and from the different sites I.e. Welham Green Site
*Create a good impression of our client at all times and adhere to company rules and standards, including when working or traveling off site.
*To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work i.e. cover for absent colleagues as required, and regularly refresh on processes to ensure this can be achieved effectively.
*To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards
*To perform any reasonable request from Line Manager/Supervisors
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Essential
*Good understanding of, and commitment to, safe working practise
*Previous driving experience
*Good communication skills and customer focused
*Good level of numeracy, literacy and a strong understanding of English
*Current driving licence
*Ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co-Workers.
*Physically fit.
*Good planning skills and the ability to show initiative and a strong positive attitude.
Flexibility, punctual, reliable and hardworking team player
Desirable
*Experience of working in a Warehouse environment preferable with builder merchant/yard background or within the construction industry.
