Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Place of Work: Ruislip Head Office and Customer Sites
Division: Specialist Services Division

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Operations Supervisor will undertake skilled tasks in a competent and professional manner and ensure delivery in a timely and financial controlled fashion to meet relevant planned maintenance programmes and timelines, reactive works / remedials and other required SLA's as directed by the. The works should be carried out to meet or exceed the Client's expectations and in accordance with policies, procedures and relevant H&S and statutory requirements. The Operations Supervisors will submit both written and electronic soft copy documentation to a high standard and verbally communicate all relevant issues in clear and objective views to the Client's line management. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for client facing activities and will attend a regular weekly / monthly meetings, were deemed appropriate, and provide daily updates to the OGS Specialist Services Operations
Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES
*Ensure OGS engineers charter is upheld points 1 to 10 (Standard Good Practice)
*Ensure engineers adhere to all H&S matters and carry and wear all PPE as required. (To verify all engineers company or sub-contractors comply with H&S) *Supporting engineering staff on technical issues and continually improve all engineers' technical knowledge in conjunction with Technical Supervisors.
(Assistance by phone or if local attend site)
*Training/support (by phone) of engineers when genuine mistakes are made
which are to be rectified on a first fix basis, discussions and training matrix built to remove these issues, and to be discussed with Operations Manager.
*Ensure engineers tools are of the correct quality and condition for company use.
*Ensure weekly vehicle inspections are conducted by engineers; carry out routine vehicle audits, in conjunction with the Technical Supervisors.
*Ensure engineer's specialist meters are certificated and up to date with legislation and compliance / technical & industry requirements.
*Managing site labour to deliver planned PPM programme.
*Managing site labour to deliver re-active and essential repairs.
*Manage local financial control on all re-active and essential repairs. Construction of quotations in support of the contract manager.
*Management of minor project works to free up project teams for large tender projects.
*Monitoring and booking of spares and materials on a job-to-job works order to guarantee financial control and timelines quoted are adhered to.
*Monitor quotes/FPQ's to ensure budgets are monitored and to carry out quality control of information on paperwork and is of the correct quality and to enable the quoting process be fluent and efficient.
*Review all engineer site reports, advise Service Desk when job is closed and can be invoiced.
*Overview and upkeep of site logbooks and F-Gas records.
*Ensuring reactive calls and service delivery is arranged for the client in support of the Service Desk; weekly planning meeting.
*Preparing all risk assessments and method statements to be on site before the works are due to be started and ALL engineers read and understand the full scope of the SSOW, R.A.M.S.
*Issue / apply for all permits on client and OGS systems in line with the OGS Safe
Systems of Work.
*Monitoring and recording of plant information and escalation of issues found, compiling dilapidation / condition reports for escalation for service / projects if required for new plant sales leads, in conjunction with the Technical Supervisors.
*Construction of traffic light reports on all contracts with support of engineers
*Management of Engineer hazard reporting.
*Management of cylinder movement.
*2 Customer visits per month which are to be formally minuted, list of customer complaints, details of positive customer feedback, discuss and update any outstanding work orders / PO's / extra works quotations.
*Produce reports as instructed by Management.
*Carry out any other duties required by the company or as instructed by your line
Manager.
*To ensure that all work is carried out to the required standard.
*To ensure that both client and the Customer's safety requirements are adhered to.
*To comply with the requirements of the Company's Policies and Procedures.
*Ensure the smooth running of the section.
*Undertake Duty Manager Responsibilities for OOH Callout Rota.

Accountabilities
1. Reporting to the Operations Manager
2. Working collaboratively as part of the team across all Divisions.
3. Direct line manager for engineering team.
4. No direct budget responsibilities.
Look to improve and enhance existing engineering and technical scope, improve plant and service performance and energy efficiencies through innovation recommendation and a pro-active approach.
