JOB TITLE: Junior Sales Representative
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
A Junior Sales Representative role to assist in all aspects of the business development process by providing support to the sales team and dealing directly with customer enquiries.
2. POSITION IN ORGANISATION
Reports to Sales Support Manager -
Liaison within sales team and with other departments as required, finance and operations
3. SCOPE OF JOB
Main responsibilities:
*Point of contact for incoming sales enquires. (via email and phone), ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
*Logging and tracking of customer quotation requests on Company's service software.
*Preparation of and delivery of proposal documents with focus on small works jobs.
*Day to day management of quote bank ensuring that current status is properly updated based on direct communication with customers and Sales Team.
*Proactive follow up of sales quotations to maximise the percentage converted to orders.
*Cross selling the company's products and services wherever possible
*Supporting/working within quality initiatives
*To ensure that duties are undertaken with due regards and compliance with the Data Protection Act and other legislation.
*To carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the company's Health and Safety Policy and relevant Health and Safety legislation.
4. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / ACCOUNTABILITY
*Integral part of new business process and will directly influence delivery of sales targets
*Maintain and develop our market reputation in the residential sector
*Maintain and improve relationships with new and existing clients
5. KEY INTERFACES
*Contractors (M&E, Building etc), Housebuilders, Developers, Consultants, Managing Agents, On site Concierge or Property Manager, Directors of Residents' management companies
*Managing Director, BDMs, Installation Manager, Operations Administration Supervisor
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. QUALIFICATIONS
A good standard of general education, ideally to A Level standard including written English and or equivalent NVQ Level. Training in communication, customer service and business development would be useful.
2. EXPERIENCE
This is an entry level role, any prior experience in similar role working in a team and closely with potential customers and end users, would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, able to articulate well both written and oral, professional, courteous, and have excellent administration skills.
3. KNOWLEDGE
*Sector and product knowledge would be useful but not essential. Relevant product training will be provided.
*Candidates will have good understanding of the 'sales process'. Ideally have attended a recognised sales training course(s) or currently be studying towards a diploma or a degree in Sales/Marketing/Management.
*Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite in particular 'Outlook', Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
