Salary: £18-21k depending on experience
Based: Cheshunt office.
Our client in the rail sector are looking for a junior buyer to join their procurement team in the New Year. Previous experience in the rail industry is advantageous but not essential, however, previous buying experience, regardless of level, is essential for this position. As well as a basic salary, the company will also offer college training in CIPS to develop you as a buyer.
Duties include but are not limited to
*Purchase/Hire material and Plant
*Obtain quotes from suppliers
*Raise Purchase orders
*Place orders obtaining best value, deliverability, quality, and price
*Ensuring items are all approved for use on Crossrail, LU, NWR.
*Arrange delivery to site or stores
*Liaise with delivery team to book in deliveries
*Log orders onto a procurement schedule
*Chase missing/incomplete orders
*Arrange returns with Stores manager
*Request credit notes from suppliers Liaise with store manager
*Ordering current consumables stock as required.
