- Description
- *Deal with telephone enquiries from members of the public relating to the issue of PCNs and Permits. - Providing advice to members of the public on the current legislation relating to the issue of the penalty notice and information relating to new or existing permits.
*Log all telephone conversations on the system.
*Process Debit/Credit Card payments over the telephone from the public, processing payments through to the bank by the daily deadline and produce all necessary reports.
*Scan, index and progress all correspondence onto the processing system daily.
*Answer correspondence relating to the issue of PCNs, making relevant checks to investigate appeals and reply ensuring all points are answered.
*Liaise with the Enforcement sites to verify location signs and lines and pocket book entries relating to PCNs.
*Liaise with Client Officers regarding Policy and Criteria for appeal decisions.
*Liaise with the Post and Reconciliation Senior regarding any receipting discrepancies/ payment queries and update system with all relevant details as necessary.
*Apply to the DVLA for vehicle registration keeper details.
*Send out statutory notices to registered vehicle keepers.
*Maintain all current filing / information systems within the department.
*Ensure all outgoing letters are franked and posted on a daily basis.
*Develop an understanding and appreciation for background material such as the Road Traffic Act 1991, the Traffic Management Act 2004, the road traffic regulations of 1984 and all laws governing parking on privately owned car parks. (All reading material provided)
*Participate and complete other duties and tasks as necessary as and when requested by the supervisor or manager.
*Ensure that all data is handled and stored in line with the data protection act.
