- Waste Operative/ Recycling Operative Required -
Based in a shopping Centre in Watford.
40 Hours Per Week. 10pm - 6am
Reporting to the Environmental Services Team Leader our Cleaning Assistant will ensure exemplary standards of cleanliness and customer services are provided to clients and visitors at a busy shopping centre based in Hertfordshire.
Key duties will include using a variety of cleaning equipment;
Conduct the daily checks throughout all machinery
Litter Picking
Clean bays and refuse areas
Clean pedestrian pathways and roadway
Empty all bins
Clean signage
Clean spillages
Sweep around and inside the Compactors
Clean pigeon mess in the basement when necessary
Remove high level dust and cobwebs
Sweep all areas alongside docks and bins room
Collect blue and white pallets
Clean Oil/Diesel spillages
Segregating Poly Wrapping
Segregating Cardboard
Segregating Paper
Separating and recycling waste
Essential
* Experience in the provision of cleaning services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.
* Able to demonstrate a good level of customer service.
* Body fluids trained.
* Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
* Honest and reliable work ethic.
* Well presented.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Able to work in both/internal and external environments.
* Willingness to partake in further on-site training.
Successful candidates will be professional in their approach to the delivery of a customer focused cleaning role, demonstrating professional and courteous behaviour in the execution of their cleaning duties. It is expected that the successful candidates will also comply with all health and safety procedures at all times.
To be successful in this role previous cleaning experience in required. Previous experience in using a variety of cleaning equipment is an advantage although training will be provided to all operatives.
